Wednesday, January 19, 2022

The two $10,000 agriculture scholarships will be awarded on March 3, 2022 at Lethbridge Exhibition Park.

The 2022 Rotary Club of Lethbridge East/Lethbridge Exhibition Park Agricultural Scholarships are among the most coveted post-secondary scholarships available in southern Alberta agricultural students.

These scholarships aim to further recognize the import role agriculture plays in our community by supporting top students pursuing agriculture careers.

Eligibility and Criteria of Applicants

Students wishing to apply for this scholarship must have successfully completed two years (or 60 credit hours) at a recognized post-secondary institution in agriculture or a related program. Applicants must be a legal resident of southern Alberta or have lived in southern Alberta for seven of the past 10 years. Rotarians, Rotaractors, and their immediate family members are not illegible to apply.

In addition to high academic achievements, applicants must include significant evidence of community service or leadership. Experience in agriculture organizations/societies such as 4H should be clarified.

Finally, successful applicants should be familiar with the activities of Rotary International and be able to explain how their professional goals align with Rotary principles.
