Most integrated weed management (IWM) approaches that are effective at managing kochia will fail when used in marginal areas of the field. We aim to identify which tools are effective in these zones to provide farmers across the Prairies with IWM strategies to reduce kochia populations.
In 2022, land prices were approaching prices out of reach for new farmers. However, money isn't the only way around this costly barrier to entry!
Farming Smarter's new Agronomy Battles bridge the gap between agricultural research and on-farm realities. Farmers and researchers will discuss and plan strategies to overcome challenges on-farm in these face-to-face workshops.
